BABIES!!

At first I was a bit bored but in the end I loved it.  It was so interesting how all the babies are cared for and nurtured.  We have an American baby in a yoga class and a Mongolian baby lying in bed with a rooster.  The Japanese and American babies were much more sensitive that the African and Mongolian babies.  It makes me wonder if maybe in America we nurture the babies too much.  I recommend this movie and stick with it, it gets better.  Although it is hard to adjust to the fact it is kind of a silent film, but soon you will feel like the babies are talking.
My favorite baby of them all!

Born into Brothels

Takes place in Calcutta.  The documentary was suppose to be about the prostitutes in Calcutta, but instead turned into a documentary about the children who live in the brothels.  The filmmaker who chronicles her time in Sonagchi, Calcutta, develops relationships with the children of prostitutes who work the city's red light district.
Each child is very different and is effected differently by their living situation.  Zana teaches the students how to use a camera and about photography.  Not only do the children learn a new skill, they get a second chance at life.
Enjoy the amazing journey and see who fortunate your life is.

The Garden

Taking place in South Central Los Angeles.  An interesting story about a rural garden in South Central created after the Los Angeles Riots.  It is a sad story to watch because it shows in the end its all about who has the money and who has the power.
It is interesting to watch to learn about LA  and the segregation that exists.
Unfortunately the gardens no longer exist but it would be a nice glimmer of hope.
The hero in the story is Rufino who at times loses hope but in the end stays optimistic.
"if you don't give back, he will kick your ass."- favorite quote from the movie
